Photo sensor S30SP6FF600Q, fixed field 600 mm, PNP, NO/NC, 10-30VDC, M12 4-pin

S30SP6FF600Q is a Banner S30 series fixed-field photo sensor with an infrared 880 nm beam and a 600 mm cutoff. It compares the light returned to a near and a far detector, so it detects objects in front of the cutoff and ignores the background behind it.

The cutoff is fixed and there is nothing to adjust. Excess gain peaks at about 40 mm from the lens, which is where low-reflectivity targets are detected most reliably; backgrounds belong well beyond 600 mm, and mirror-like ones can cause false switching. A yellow LED shows the NO output on and flashes at marginal excess gain.

Vibration tested to MIL-STD-202F, method 201A; shock to method 213B (75 g operating).
