Photo sensor QS30FF200Q, fixed field 200 mm, PNP/NPN, LO/DO, 10-30VDC, M12 5-pin

QS30FF200Q is a Banner QS30 series fixed-field photo sensor with a visible red 680 nm beam and a 200 mm cutoff. It compares the light returned to a near and a far detector, so it detects low-reflectivity objects in front of the cutoff and ignores the background behind it.

• Sensing range: 200 mm cutoff, tolerance ±5 %; spot 7 mm at cutoff
• Output: bipolar, one PNP and one NPN, Light or Dark Operate selected by the grey wire, 100 mA each
• Response: 2 ms; repeatability 500 µs
• Supply: 10-30 V DC, < 40 mA
• Housing: ABS, acrylic lens, M30x1.5 threaded barrel or side mounting, 3 mm hardware included

The cutoff is fixed, so the sensor needs no sensitivity adjustment; backgrounds must sit beyond 200 mm, and mirror-like backgrounds can cause false switching. Grey wire open or high gives Light Operate, low gives Dark Operate. A large amber LED on the back shows the output state.
