Photo sensor - emitter QS30EXH2OQ5-83043, water detection, 4 m, 10-30VDC, M12 5-pin, stainless nut

QS30EXH2OQ5-83043 is the standard emitter of a Banner QS30H2O opposed-mode water sensor pair, supplied with a stainless steel mounting nut. The 1450 nm infrared beam is tuned to an absorption band of water: it passes through many plastic and glass containers but is attenuated by water-based liquids, so the pair sees whether a container is filled.

• Sensing range: 2 m with a low-gain receiver, 4 m with a high-gain receiver

Works only with standard QS30H2O receivers, ordered separately: the low-gain models suit clear bottles and test tubes, the high-gain models translucent containers such as HDPE or coloured PET. Pulling the white wire low switches the beam off for a receiver check. Modulation frequency A or B is chosen with the grey wire and must match on emitter and receiver, so neighbouring pairs do not interfere.
