QS30ARXSH2OQ5 is the super high-power receiver of a Banner QS30H2O opposed-mode water sensor pair, used with a QS30EXSH2O emitter over up to 8 m. The 1450 nm infrared beam is tuned to an absorption band of water: it passes through many plastic and glass containers but is attenuated by water-based liquids, so the pair sees whether a container is filled.

The super high-power pair is meant for thick or opaque containers that need the most burn-through power, at a slower response than the standard models. It works only with a super high-power QS30EXSH2O emitter, ordered separately. The output is on while the beam is not blocked. Modulation frequency A or B is chosen with the grey wire and must match on emitter and receiver, so neighbouring pairs do not interfere. An amber AID indicator flashes faster as more light is received.
