Q5ZKLAF1800-Q8 is a Banner Q5Z Global series Class 2 laser measurement sensor with a 95...1800 mm range and two switching outputs. It has no display and a single TEACH button: it ships pre-configured from the factory, and any other setting is made over IO-Link.

• Repeatability: ±0.5 mm at 95...300 mm, ±0.25 % at 300...1000 mm, ±0.52 % at 1000...1800 mm
• Sensing range: 95...1800 mm
• Output 1: IO-Link push/pull (default), configurable PNP or NPN, 50 mA
• Output 2: PNP (default), configurable PNP/NPN, pulse frequency output or remote input, 50 mA; response time 3, 5, 15, 25 or 50 ms
• Supply: 10...30 V DC, < 1 W; protected against reverse polarity and transient overvoltage
• Housing: ABS, PMMA lens cover; side mounting
• Environment: IP67, -10...+50 °C
• Connection: integral M12 male connector, 4-pin, rotatable through 270°

It detects black targets below 6 % reflectance, also against a black or shiny metal background. Configuration and process data run over IO-Link v1.1 with Smart Sensor Profile.
