Optical fibre PBT46U, plastic, diffuse, bifurcated, M6 tip, Ø1 mm, 2 m

PBT46U is a Banner bifurcated plastic fibre for diffuse mode with an M6 threaded sensing tip. One sensing end both emits and receives light; the two control ends go to the emitter and receiver of the sensor.

• Range: DF-G1 220 mm, D10D 300 mm, D10B 100 mm, D10A 85 mm
• Fibre: Ø1 mm, length 2 m, unterminated
• Tip: M6 threaded
• Material: acrylic (PMMA) core, black polyethylene jacket, nickel-plated brass tip
• Bend radius: at least 25 mm
• Temperature: -30...+70 °C

The control ends are unterminated and are cut to length with the PFC-4 cutter supplied with the fibre. The acrylic core is damaged by acids, strong alkalis and solvents; Banner recommends plastic fibres for visible-light sensors only.
