Photo sensor OR18.RR-PW1P.71O, retro-reflective, 3.5 m, PNP, 12-30VDC, M18, M12 4-pin

OR18.RR-PW1P.71O is a Baumer M18 retro-reflective photo sensor with a polarisation filter and a 3.5 m operating range. The polarisation filter lets the sensor tell the reflector from shiny objects, so glossy packaging or metal parts do not hold the output switched. Sensitivity is set with a 270° potentiometer on the housing.

Used for object detection across conveyors and gates where a reflector can be mounted opposite the sensor. Pin 2 (white) is a control input. A green LED shows alignment and lens soiling, a yellow LED shows the output state.
