Photo sensor QS18VP6LLPQ8, laser, polarized retroreflective 0.1-10 m, PNP, NO/NC, 10-30VDC, M12 4-pin

QS18VP6LLPQ8 is a Banner QS18 series polarized retroreflective photo sensor with a visible red Class 1 laser (650 nm) and a 0.1-10 m range. The narrow beam, about 4 mm at 10 m, detects small objects and gives precise position control; the polarizing filter suppresses reflections from shiny objects.

A BRT-51X51BM reflector is included. With a beam this narrow, alignment is critical: one degree of misalignment moves the beam 100 mm off centre at 6 m. A green LED indicator shows power; the amber one shows light sensed and flashes at marginal excess gain. Sensitivity is set with a single-turn potentiometer.
