M18TIP14Q is a Banner M18T T-GAGE non-contact temperature sensor. A thermopile detector measures the infrared energy emitted by the object and outputs a 4-20 mA signal proportional to its temperature, with a narrow-beam lens giving a 14:1 distance-to-spot ratio.

Used for hot part detection, ejection checks on injection moulding machines, flame and hot glue verification and cold product detection; the object does not need to move. The span is taught with the push button or remote wire, and the teach order sets a positive or negative slope. Allow 5 minutes of warm-up.
