Safe level monitoring in hazardous storage zones

Continuous level control in grain and flour silos, compliant with ATEX/IECEx requirements for Zones 20 and 21

In grain processing plants, especially mills, large volumes of grain, flour, or meal are processed daily. These materials create fine dust, and in closed storage tanks, they can form an explosive atmosphere. At the same time, overflow risks must be prevented, material shortages must be detected in a timely manner, and pressure changes during filling must be monitored — adhering to strict ATEX/IECEx requirements.

Solution

Continuous measurement, point control, and visual indication in one system

For dusty and explosive grain storage tanks, we offer the UWT sensor system, which meets ATEX/IECEx certification requirements for operation in zones 20 and 21. The measurement range reaches up to 30 meters, and the system is easily integrable into existing PLC or SCADA control systems.

Continuous level measurement

NivoBob NB 4200 reliably measures the level even in high, dusty, or low-reflective tanks.

Point control

The Rotonivo RN series accurately detects the achievement of maximum or minimum levels, ensuring SIL 2 compliance for safety systems.

Visual indication

NivoLED NL 9000 provides a 360° visible status signal that is easily seen even in dusty environments.
