The GT5 extends the Temposonics G-Series V range with redundant position sensors. The housing of the previous series now carries fifth-generation electronics.

Measurement is based on a magnetostrictive waveguide that Temposonics develops and manufactures in-house. The sensor reads position without contact and without mechanical wear, and the position value is absolute - no recalibration is needed after a power outage or a system restart.


G-Series V GT5

The housing has not changed; only the internal electronics have. Neither the control system nor the wiring has to change, and the sensor can be swapped directly, without retrofit work.

Dual or triple redundancy

Two or three independent measuring systems in one housing.

Infinite resolution

The analog measuring method does not quantize the position value.

G-Series V GT5

Stroke length up to 3500 mm

  • Rod with 10 mm outer diameter
  • The electronics housing is only slightly larger than that of a single R-Series V RH5 or G-Series V GH5
  • Simple transition from a single sensor to redundant measurement

R-Series V RF5 H3 rod

Stroke length up to 5800 mm

  • Two or three separate sensors in one rod with a 25 mm outer diameter
  • Each sensor can be replaced individually without affecting the others
  • The flexible measuring element is bendable, so it requires little space for installation
