The Baumer OT200 is the smallest Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor on the market, measuring just 8 × 25.1 × 15.8 mm. Despite its minimal footprint, it offers a detection range up to 2 m, making it ideal for integration into compact machinery, robotic end-effectors, or automated handling systems. The sensor's high-performance ToF technology ensures precise detection on challenging surfaces—including black, glossy, or irregular materials—without additional reflectors. Designed for demanding environments, OT200 includes advanced features like visible red Alignment Guide, qTarget optical axis reference, and wear-free qTeach configuration, enabling fast, reproducible sensor setup. Miniature sensor for AGVs

Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are crucial to modern industrial logistics, and sensors play a key role in their efficient operation. One example is the fork width, which must be set exactly to the width of the pallet. The compact OT200 is ideal for this application, fitting perfectly in the limited space of the fork. It can directly be mounted on the central suspension to ensure precise fork width monitoring.

Apparatus engineering

The compact OT200 is designed to fit perfectly into tight spaces, such as moving inner parts of a machine or apparatus. As a SmartReflect light barrier, it serves as an ejection control of an arm in automated order-picking systems, e.g. in pharmaceutical, food and beverage or in vending machine applications.
