Highlights of the research project “Development of a solution for tracking and placement optimization of in-process inventory units suitable for complex manufacturing processes to increase plant efficiency (WITPO)” in the first quarter of 2025
The IT Competence Centre is implementing the project “Information and Communication Technology Competence Centre,” ID No. 5.1.1.2.i.0/1/22/A/CFLA/008.
The aim of the “Information and Communication Technology Competence Centre” project is to enhance the competitiveness of companies in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector by collaborating with scientific institutions. By 30 June 2025, at least 12 industry-specific and cross-sectoral research projects will be carried out in the fields of Business Process Analysis Technologies and Natural Language Technologies, enabling at least 10 companies to develop and implement new products and technologies in production.
The research project No. 1.1, implemented by SIA “DATI Group” and SIA “WILL sensors,” titled “Development of a tracking and location optimisation solution for complex production processes to improve plant efficiency (WITPO),” was launched in November 2023. In the first quarter of 2025, the project continues with its final activity in the experimental development phase: platform validation in a real operational environment.
Project implementation period: 01.11.2023 – 30.04.2025
Total project cost: EUR 206,180.94
Recovery Fund co-financing: EUR 149,497.11
The project is co-financed by the Recovery Fund under the Operational Programme “Latvia’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan,” Reform and Investment Direction 5.1.r “Increasing productivity through greater investment in R&D,” Reform 5.1.1.r “Innovation management and incentives for private R&D investment,” and Investment 5.1.1.2.i “Support instrument for the development of innovation clusters,” within the framework of the competence centre initiative.
