Setpoint Teaching with Digital Potentiometer and Optical Feedback
Turck’s next-gen capacitive sensors simplify setpoint adjustment through a user-friendly digital potentiometer (Digipot) with LED feedback. As the potentiometer is turned:
- The green LED begins to flash.
- The closer the setting is to the switching point, the faster the flashing frequency becomes.
- Upon reaching the switching point, the LED changes to yellow while still flashing.
- If sensitivity is increased further, the flashing slows down again.
Once the ideal setpoint is found and the Digipot is no longer turned, the LED stops flashing after 2 seconds and reverts to normal operation:
- Green – object not detected (not dampened)
- Yellow – object detected (dampened)
This visual feedback ensures fast and precise configuration with minimal effort.
