Banner Q20-2 Compact Measurement Sensor Series


The compact, rectangular Q20-2 housing is designed for universal installation in production machinery and retrofit applications. The series includes Time-of-Flight (ToF) background suppression sensors for precise distance detection and polarized retroreflective models for reliable object presence sensing with reflective targets. Q20-2 sensors support both light operate and dark operate modes, as well as complementary output configurations, enabling flexible integration across different control schemes.


Q20-2 series features

  • Extended range: Measuring distance up to 3000 mm in a compact housing, suitable for applications with limited installation space.
  • Visible alignment LED: Bright red indicator for quick and accurate sensor positioning during setup.
  • IO-Link connectivity: Enables bidirectional communication with the control system for data monitoring, diagnostics, and configuration. 
  • FM output mode: Alternative digital output that provides frequency pulses proportional to distance, useful for analog-like feedback without an analog module. 
  • Multiple operating modes: Background suppression, object detection, and dual mode (distance + intensity) allow one sensor to handle various tasks efficiently.
